1st Day: Kathmandu – Lukla –
Phakding (2800m) |
One
can fly from Kathmandu to Lukla
(2800m). At the place of Lukla,
trail leads north from the airstrip
to the edge of Lukla Plateau.
After, an easy walk through several
villages reaches to Phakding (2800m).
There can be reached within 5
hours even relaxing, overnight
at camp |

| 2nd
Day: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (2800m
– 3440m) |
At
first, following up soft trail
passing several villages, beautiful
pine forest, then comes to Jorsalee
(2800m). From Jorsalee following
up Dudhkosi River about one hour
and climbing slowly up a steep
trail reaches to Namche. Nearly
more than half steep trail, one
can enjoy with breath Taking first
view of Everest (8848m), Nuptse
(7879m) and Lotse (8383m). Walking
time takes about 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |

Day: Namche Bazaar – Acclimatization

| 4th
Daamche Bazaar – Khumjung (3440m –
3790m)y: N |
At
the place of Namche Bazaar, the
trail leads steep climbing about
one hour to Shyangboche. From the
top of Shyangboche, one can see
view of Mt. Everest (8848m), Ama
Dablam (6856m), Themserku (6608m),
Nuptse (7879m), and Lotse (8383m).
After there trail downwards to Khumjung,
where can be seen Sir Edmund Hillary
School and hospital. Walking time
takes about 3 hours, overnight at
camp. |

| 5th
Day: Khumjung – Tengpoche (3790m -
3870m) |
From
Khumjung, trail leads descending crossing
several villages through a beautiful pine
forest up to Phunki Thanga. After that,
trail rapidly steep climbing to Tengpoche.
Walking time takes about 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |
| 6th
Day: Tengpoche – Pheriche (3870m –
4240m) |
From
Tengpoche, it's a short steep and muddy
descending to Devuche through birches,
conifers and Rhododendron forest. After
a long walk it passes several villages
such as Devuche, Pangboche and reaches
Pheriche. Walking time takes about 6 hours,
overnight at camp. |

Day: Pheriche – rest |
| 8th
Day: Pheriche – Lobuje (4240m –
4930m) |
At
the place of Pheriche trail leads very
soft way up to Dugla (4620m). After that
it leads ascending about 2 hours, switches
back to soft and enter Lobuje. Walking
time takes about 6 hours, overnight at
camp. |
| 9th
Day: Lobuje – Gorak shep (4930m -
5160m) |
From
Lobuje trail leads flat, several small
ascends and descends to Gorak shep. Walking
time takes about 4 hours, overnight at
camp. |
| 10th
Day: Gorak Shep – rest (Everest Base
Camp) |
The
next day one can walk to Everest
Base Camp. There can be seen Everest
glacier and come back to Gorak
shep. Walking time takes about
5 hours going and coming back,
overnight at camp. |

| 11th
Day: Gorak Shep – rest (Kalapattar) |
At
the place of Gorak Shep, trail
leads climbing up to Kalapattar
(5545m). Actually Kalapattar is
the most popular place for checking
breath taking mountain views’
such as Mt. Everest (8848m), Ama
Dablam (6856m), Themserku (6608m),
Nuptse (7879m), and Lotse (8383m).
Walking time takes about four
hours for going and coming. |

Day: Gorak shop – Pheriche (4240m
– 5160m) |
From
the Gorak shep, walking backs to Pheriche
by the same way. Walking time takes about
6 hours, overnight at camp. |
| 13th
Day: Pheriche – Tengpoche (4240m –
3870m) |
Form
Pheriche, moving through the same way
reaches to Tenpoche. Walking time takes
about 5 hours, overnight at camp. |
14th
Day: Tengpoche – Namche Bazaar (3870m
– 3440m) |
| Walking
time takes about 5 hours back through the
same way. |
| 15th
Day: Namche Bazaar – Lukla (3440m-
2800m) |
| Walking
time takes about 8 hours back through the
same way. |
| 16th
Day: Lukla – Kathmandu |
| In the morning flight backs to Kathmandu. |
