| 1st
Day: Kathmandu – Sundarijal –
Chisapani (2300m – 2470m) |
From Kathmandu
to Sundarijal by driving takes
about an hour. The trail begins
from Sundarijal quite steep and
goes along the large water pipe
coming down from the Sundarijal
reservoir. After entering the
Shivapuri national park, the trail
leads to village of Mulkhara.
From Mulkhara Mountain trail leads
through a light forest ascending
and descending to Chisopani (2300m).
Walking time takes about 6 hours,
overnight at camp. |

| 2nd
Day: Chisapani – Khutumsang (2300m
– 2470m) |
At
the place of Chisopani the trail continuously
descends to Pati Bhanjyang. After Pati
Bhanjyang, trail leads north of the hill.
It makes a very sleep ascending to Chipling
(2170m). From Chipling, trail leads to
village of Gul Bhanjyang and enters a
forest area. After descending and ascending
comes Khutumsang (2470m). Total walking
time takes about 7 hours, overnight at
camp. |
| 3rd
Day: Khutumsang – Tharepati (2300m
– 3490m) |
| The
trail climbs above Khutumsang on a steep,
eroded trail, mostly through oak and Rhododendron
forest to Pambu. After Pambu, trail leads
up descending to Magengoth and ascending
to Tharepati (3490m). Walking time takes
about 6 hours, overnight at camp. |
| 4th
Day: Tharepati – Phedi (4190m –
4100m) |
At
the place of Tharepati, the trail descends
and ascends to Ghopte. By crossing continuously
trough light forest comes Phedi (4100m).
Walking time takes about 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |
| 5th
Day: Phedi – Gosaikunda (4100m –
4380m) |
From
the Phedi, trail ascends to pass. The
trail is rough and crosses moraines but
it is well marked with rock Cairns. From
the pass (4610m) offers good views in
both directions. After that, trail ascends
to enter Gosaikunda (4380m). Walking time
takes approximately 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |
| 6th
Day: Gosaikunda – Sing Gompa (4380
– 3250m) |
At
the place of Gosaikunda, trail goes almost
descending through Laurebinayak. From
laurebinayak one can see heart touching
panoramic mountain views such as Annapurna,
Manaslu (8156m), Ganesh Himal (7406m),
Langtang Lirung and other mountains. After
Laurebinayak, again rail ascends continuously
to Sing Gompa (3250m). Walking time takes
about 5 hours, overnight at camp. |
| 7th
Day: Sing Gompa – Thulo Syabru (3250m
– 2100m) |
From
Sing Gompa, the trail descends almost
through a pine forest to Thulo Syabru
(2100m). Walking time takes about 3 hours,
overnight at camp. |
| 8th
Day: Thulosyabru – Lama Hotel (2100m
– 2380m) |
Descending
down the ridge past fields, houses and
through a forest reaches Ghopche stream.
After crossing a bridge mountain path
leads to ridge snout. From there descends
a steep forest slope to the Langtang river
then enters a forest with a gentle ascends
gradually gains altitude. After that climbing
a steep and comes Lama Hotel (2380m).
Walking time takes about 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |

Day: Lama Hotel – Langtang (2380m
– 3500m) |
To
reach Langtang from Lama Hotel takes
nearly 5 hours steep along Rhododendron
and oak forest, overnight at Langtang
(3500m). |

| 10th
Day: Langtang – Kyanjin Gompa (3500m
– 3960m) |
The
trail crosses through the stone
built village and climbs to Chorten
then passes through a Hugemani along
a soft trail to Kyanjin Gompa. Walking
time takes about 4 hours, overnight
at camp. |

| 11th
Day: Kyanjin Gompa – Langshisha Kharka
(4080m) |
An
extra day continues further up Kyanjin
Gompa to Langshisha Kharka (4080m) for
checking the mountain views of Langtang
Lirung (7246m), Langshisha RI (6310m),
and gang Chhenpo (6388m) Urkeinmang (6150m),
Penthankarpo RI (6830m) and so on. Same
day from Langshisha backs to Kyanjin Gompa
for over night. Walking time takes about
6 hours for going and coming. |
| 12th
Day: Kyanjin Gompa – Tsergo RI (4980m)
|
An
extra another day continues further up
to next peak Tsergo RI for observing very
close mountain views and back to Kyanjin
Gompa for overnight. Walking time takes
about 7 hours for going and coming. |
13th
Day: Kyanjin Gompa – Lama Hotel
(3960m – 2380m) |
From
Kyanjin Gompa, return backs to Lama Hotel
through same way. Walking time takes about
7 hours. Trail leads all most flat and
down hill. |
| 14th
Day: Lama Hotel – Syabrubesi (2380m
– 1420m) |
|
From
Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi trail leads through
the Langtang River almost downhill. Walking
time takes about 5 hours, overnight at
camp.
|
| 15th
Day: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu |
The journey
from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu takes
about 9 hours. |
