Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek |
1st
Day: Pokhara – Hile (820m –
1490m) |
From
Pokhara to Nayapul, it
takes about 1 ½
hour by driving. The road
is reasonably good. At
the place of Nayapul,
within short walk, one
can cross suspension bridge.
After that, follows up
bank of Modi River to
Birethanti. From there
mountain trail leads through
bamboo forest and passes
a large waterfall-summing
hole. The trail stays
on the north bank of Bhurundi
River to Bajagara. |

Beyond a pasture used by Pony
caravans, the trail reaches Sudami
then climbs steadily up through
the valley reaching Hile (1495m).
Walking time takes about 5 hours,
overnight at camp. |

| 2nd
Day: Hile – Ghorepani (1490m –
2850m) |
From the place
of Hile, after a short walk the
trail crosses a steam on suspension
bridge and it leads the climb very
steeply on a stone staircase. It
continues steeply to the large village
of Uleri at 2070m. From there one
can see first eye catching mountain
views of Annapurna south (7219m),
Himchuli (6440m) and Fishtail (6996m).
After these the trail leady through
deep magnificent oak And Rhododendron
forest till Ghorepani (2850m). Walking
time takes about 7 hours over night
at camp. |

| 3rd
Day: Ghorepani – Tadapani (2850 –
2590m) |
At
the place of Ghorepani
to Poonhill, trail leads
climbing very steeply
on a stone staircase.
Walking time takes about
1½ hour to the
top. From the Poonhill,
one can see view of Sunrise
and breath taking mountains
views such as Dhaulagiri,
Nilgiri, Annapurna I,
and Annapurna south, Himchuli,
Annapurna III, Fishtail,
Annapurna IV, and Annapurna
II and so on. After Poonhill
ascends to Ghorepani from
there to Tadapani |

mountain trail leads several times
ascending and descending. It passes
several villages through oak and
Rhododendron forest. Walking times
takes approximately 6 hours, overnight
at camp. |

| 4th
Day: Tadapani – Chmorung (2590m –
2170m) |
| At
the place of Tadapani, the trail goes almost
ascending and descending through the several
villages to Chmorung. Walking time takes
about 5 hours overnight at camp. |
| 5th
Day: Chmorung – Bamboo (2170m –
2340m) |
At
the place of Chmorung trail leads descends
to Chmorung rover. After crosses it trail
leads ascends to Bamboo through the bamboo
forest. Walking time takes about 5 hours
overnight at camp. |
| 6th
Day: Bamboo – Himalayan Hotel (2340m
– 2870m) |
At
the place of the Bamboo, one can follows
up soft path through the bamboo forest
to place of bamboo. After there trail
leads ascending through the deep bamboo
forest after crossing Doban and Himalayan
Hotel. Walking time takes about 4 hours
overnight at camp. |
| 7th
Day: Himalayan Hotel – Machhapuchhre
Base camp (2870m - 3700m) |
| From
Himalayan Hotel, trail leads continuously
ascending through the bank of Modi River
after crossing place of Deurali comes Machhapuchhre
Base camp. Walking time takes about 4 hours
overnight at camp. |
| 8th
Day: Machhapuchhre Base camp – Annapurna
Base Camp (3700m - 4130m) |
| Ascending
a path along a steam through the center
of lateral moraine finally reveals Annapurna
I (8091m). From there, one can pass along
the grass covered area of Annapurna Base
Camp. Walking time takes approximately 2
hours, overnight at camp. |
| 9th
Day: Annapurna Base Camp – Bamboo
(4130m – 2340m) |
From
Annapurna Base Camp, descends rapidly
through the some trail after crossing
the place of Machhapuchhre Base camp,
Deurali, Himalayan Hotel and Doban and
comes Bamboo. Walking time takes approximately
6 hours overnight at camp. |

Day: Bamboo – Chmorung (2340m –
2170m) |
At
the place of Bamboo, backs from the some
descending and ascending through the Bamboo
forest. Walking time takes 5 hours overnight
at camp. |
| 11th
Day: Chmorung – Ghandrung (2170m –
1940m) |
To reach Ghandrung
from Chmorong leads descending until
place of Khumnu River (1780m) after
crossing suspension bridge one can
climb out of the Khumby valley,
the mountain path step climbs Tilluri
(2220m). After passing the trail,
descends through huge boulders to
a small creek and drops gently into
the maze of trail in Ghandrung.
Walking time takes about 6 hours
overnight at camp. |

Day: Ghandrung – Nayapul Pokhara (1940m
– 820m) |
At the place
of Ghandrug trail leads to Nayapul,
the route almost descending and
flat through the bank of Modi
River and passes several villages
such as Kimle, Shyauli Bazaar
and Birethani and comes Nayapul.
Walking times takes about 5 hours,
after Nayapul drives back to Pokhara. |
